Lockets That Click

Spruill Center for the Arts, Atlanta, GA

December 11-12, 2010

Saturday from 10:30am to 6:00pm
Sunday from 10:30am to 4:30pm

Few things are more rewarding in metalsmithing than the feel of your very own constructed locket opening and 'clicking' closed. A locket is also a great place to incorporate etched, roller printed, textured sheet, or granulation, repoussé, or stamped pieces. Participants will learn traditional as well as easy hinges. Victoria's uniquely constructed lockets with windows and moving parts have been featured in Metalsmith, Art Jewelry, and Jewelry Artist magazines. Come learn her secrets for adapting these ideas for your own designs. Beginning metalsmithng skills required.

Lockets That Click Workshop Supply List
Please do not wait until the week before class to get your supplies!!!

You can get these supplies from JFF.
5269 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30340; (770) 455-1871

If you choose to do any of the project in gold, I recommend getting the gold from David H. Fell in CA, www.dhfco.com. Their 18k Yellow Gold Standard is zinc free and much easier to work with. Their 22k gold bezel wire is also acceptable.

Optional Stone: Any medium sized cabochon that will fit within your "window" shape and/or one to dangle from the bottom (plus materials to make setting). This project works well for fragile stones.
