Ahketaten

High Relief Easter Repoussé Panel
Copper
© 1992, V. Lansford

This panel was one of my first repoussé pieces and is slightly more traditional in technique with lower rounded relief rather than the higher angled relief I began pursuing in 1995.

The design is an interpretation of a wall painting from Ahketaten, the palace of New Kingdom Egyptian Pharaoh Ankhenaten and Queen Nefertiti.
