| Observatory In my complete obsession with astronomy and the mystery of the night sky, I went to the local observatory once a week for the better part of 1998. Each time the roof moved to accommodate the telescope's change in direction, I marveled at the pie slice of orbiting sky so much that I wanted to translate that feeling into small sculpture. The result was this style of ring, whereby the dome rotates, revealing only a section of the stone with each turn. Chased Ring with Rotating Dome over Bezel 18k, 22k Gold, Sterling Silver, Fine Silver, Koroit Opal 1’ long x 7/8” wide x 3/4” across diameter of dome © 2007, V. Lansford $779.
