Supply List

Learn the high relief hammered techniques of chasing and repoussé, used by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Celts, and which is little known in the West. This technique is a specialty of Victoria's. She has been working in it since 1991 when she first learned from Gia Gogishvilli, a master metalsmith from the Republic of Georgia. Victoria is the only teacher in the USA currently teaching this style of repoussé.

In addition to making at least 2 pieces of repoussé suitable for jewelry, experience miniature blacksmithing by learning to make tools from hex keys, including your own stamps and logos or initials. Make only 2 tools before chasing right away. This approach insures that you will actually complete pieces of art and not just the tools.
